How much will my visit cost?

Treatment costs vary and depend on a number of factors, such as services rendered and insurance coverage. After your initial evaluation, our office manager will provide you with a detailed outline of all expected costs for your recommended therapy plan.

When creating your financial outline, our office takes into consideration your health insurance coverage, and our team calculates your total expected cost based on your specific plan benefits. If you do not have health insurance, or if services are not covered by your plan, Remedy offers cost-saving options through ChiroHealth USA, a third-party discount membership program. Payment plans may also be arranged upon request.

Please contact our office at (630) 324-6019 for further information.

Does Remedy accept my insurance?

Currently, we are an in-network provider with the following insurance plans:

  • BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois Participating Provider Option (PPO)
  • BlueCross BlueShield Blue Choice PPOSM networks
    • BCBSIL PPO plans offered through the Affordable Care Act’s health insurance marketplace are accepted under this network.
  • BlueCross BlueShield Federal Employee Program (FEP)
  • BlueCross BlueShield Blue Card PPO (for out-of-area PPO members)
  • Medicare

If your insurance provider is not listed above, Remedy may still be able to submit claims on your behalf. Out-of-network benefits would likely apply; however coverage may still be available.

Our staff is happy to contact your insurance provider to verify your coverage prior to your initial appointment. Please call our office at (630) 324-6019 to initiate a benefit verification request.

How long do appointments take?

A new-patient appointment is split into two separate visits: (1) the new patient evaluation (60 minutes on average) and (2) the report of findings visit 45 minutes on average).

During your evaluation visit (1), you will discuss your health history and your health concerns with your practitioner, and a comprehensive examination will be performed. At your next appointment, the report of findings visit (2), your doctor will share examination findings with you, review your recommended therapy plan, and initiate treatment if appropriate.

Follow-up appointments are shorter in length, generally ranging from 15-30 minutes per visit.

Does Remedy offer phone consultations?

Yes. If you’re unable to make it to our office due to your schedule or your location, we can schedule you for a phone consultation with one of our physicians. Generally, phone consultations take 30-60 minutes. Because phone consultations are not billable to insurance carriers, payment is due at the time of the call.

In addition, we are currently working on face-to-face appointments via Skype.

Can I receive treatments if I'm pregnant?
Absolutely! Nutrition and Chiropractic care are excellent ways to support a woman while the pregnancy progresses. These therapies are non-invasive and effective in helping relieve common complaints during and after pregnancy.
Do you treat children?
Absolutely! Children respond very well to Chiropractic care and Nutritional therapies. Treatments are non-invasive, safe, and help support a growing body.
Are cervical spine (neck) adjustments dangerous?

All therapeutic interventions carry a certain level of associated risk. While cervical spine manipulation performed by a trained practitioner is a remarkably safe procedure, reports have associated neck manipulation with a certain type of stroke (vertebral artery dissection).

While we don’t know the actual incidence of stroke associated with neck manipulation, the occurrence does appear to be rare, based upon the clinical reports and scientific studies to date. It is important to note that vertebral artery dissection has also been associated with everyday activities such as turning the head while driving, swimming, or receiving a shampoo in a hair salon.
